Established in 2001 by Social Workers team. Sri Krishna Awareness Trust is a charitable voluntary development organization registered under the Indian Trust Act, Sri Krishna Awareness Trust is eligible to receive foreign donations under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 1976 and is exempted from Income Tax under Income Tax Act, 1961.

The thematic focus areas of Sri Krishna Awareness Trust are empowerment with specific focus on Child Rights, Women and Gender Development, Sustainable Livelihood, Health and Education, Entitlement Realization and Governance, Sri Krishna Awareness Trust mainly works to ensure a child’s rights to education among other rights of survival, development, protection and participation.

The organization is striving to bring positive changes in the lives of the poor and socially excluded groups with focus on women and child labour families.
